Dr. Joshua Parmelee
OptometristDr. Parmelee is a 4th generation native to the community of coastal Georgia. He graduated from Glynn Academy high school just a few blocks away from the office he works in today. His college career first took him to the University of Georgia where he graduated with a B.S. in Biology. From there he attended Southern College of Optometry in Memphis, Tennessee. After completion of his doctorate he feels blessed to be reconnected with the area that has molded who he is today. Dr. Parmelee has specific expertise and interest in diseases of the eye and conditions associated with aging, such as cataracts, diabetic eye disease, glaucoma, and macular degeneration. Dr. Parmelee is connected with surgical co-management and referral consultation of cataracts, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, macular degeneration, and refractive surgery. When not working Dr. Parmelee enjoys experiencing all of the beauty that Brunswick and the Golden Isles has to offer.
